Born in Taiwan, Hsing Ya is an international contemporary choreographer and dancer. Since 2016, Hsing Ya had been joining “Ella Mesma Company”to the present. Performing at the most famous well known theaters and festivals in the UK and USA. Here are listed below: “Sadler’s Wells Theatre” in London, “Danspace Project” in New York, “Casa Latin American Festival” in London, Rich Mix Theatre” in London, “VAULT Festival in London”, “Artists4Artists in London”, “Offbeat Festival in Oxford”, “Dance City” in Newcastle, Trinity Centre in Bristol, Southbank Centre’s WOW Festival in Bradford, “IETM Festival” in Hull, and so on. She also collaborated and performed at Anna Alvarez’s production: “Moon Light”and Appetite Dance Productions: “Wild” Wool”, and so on.
Before she came to London, her professional experiences also included Feng Dance Theatre, Dance Forum Taipei Company, WC Dance company, Century Contemporary Dance Company, SunShier Dance Theatre, Camping Asia, and so on. Since 2013 Hsing Ya has been granting funds seven times from “Ministry of Culture” and “National Culture and Arts Foundation”, “Taipei Culture Foundation” in Taiwan. To present her choreography arts at Resolution 2019 (UK), The American Dance Festival (USA), The Watermill Center (USA) and The Taipei Artist Village (Taiwan).
Hsing Ya has a major in Choreography from the Graduate Institution of Dance Performance and Choreography of Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) in Taiwan.
