Jay is an emerging dance and multidisciplinary circus artist from the North east of England. They create pieces that challenge their audience to rethink preconceived notions of societal binaries. They have performed at who’s heritage symposium presented by David olusaga, vamos and migration matters festival. Jay enjoys creating bodies of work that reflect different aspects of their experience and collective consciousness.

Jay derives healing from their art, and advocates for others to engage in such practices. They lead accessible, free community workshops to extend their practice to people from similar socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Jay uses deep somatic movement to elevate their body and self awareness, and also as a way to help heal from cptsd. They prioritise ancestral healing through dance and movement, which can be passed down generations for inter generational rediscovery.
